As a staff member for our events division it is your duty to not only plan all events for the airline, but also to publicly announce each event with sufficient notice before the day of the event. You will also be asked to co-ordinate ATC with the appropriate facilities for the night of the event, you are to answer any questions posed by pilots to ensure their is as little confusion as possible regarding each event. We also expect you as a staff member to participate in events where possible, you are setting an example for the rest of us. "Turtle Dash Events"
- The "Turtle Dash" is an event from an origin of our choice, to a destination of our choice, that is exclusive to Cayman Airways Virtual. No other airline offers the "Turtle Dash".
- These Dashes are held Sunday and Wednesday of every week, at the same time every week. They are an opportunity to speak to your fellow pilots and fly a scheduled event with them, one where we all fly the same route, same time.
"Flying the Stars and Stripes Events"
- The "Stars & Stripes Events" are a brand new line of events for Cayman Airways Virtual. These events will feature two unique American destinations each event, all flights will be AmeriCay only
- Just as Turtle Dashes are unique to the Caribbean and East coast US, Stars and Stripes Events will be unique to all AmeriCay destinations for the airline. These events will be flown in the place of a Freight Dog Event on Friday, all events are announced in advance for pilots to prepare for the night.
"Freight Dog Events"
- The "Freight Dog Events" are the latest craze in events for Cayman Airways Virtual! These events are flown only once every other week, typically alternating with our "Stars and Stripes Events", all flights will be Cayman Cargo flights only, destinations include various places through-out the Caribbean and United States.
- Freight flights are flown on Friday nights, a popular term used by us will be "Freight Dog Fridays!" - These will, as previously mentioned, alternate with "Stars and Stripes" for the Friday night slot. When popularity in these events pick up we will begin to designate a unique night to each event. All events are announced in advance for pilots to prepare for the night.
