http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc319/Aharonthenicepilot/Old%20Hong%20Kong/vh23.jpg
Great!!! After reprogramming GPS to reflect new route adjustment, GPS does not recognize the old airport's runways meaning no glidescopes or no runway instructions. Now it is up to me to make visual landing!!! Let's see. Those mountains looked familiar to me and I was guessing the old airport was behind those mountains. Let's see

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc319/Aharonthenicepilot/Old%20Hong%20Kong/vh25.jpg
Because I did not want to be at too high altitude since I am few minutes away from the old airport, I decided to take right turn to use low pass while looking for the old airport and the famous checkerboard to make visual contact. I could see the bay behind the mountains which I could take advantage of open sea to make any necessary 180 degree turn while looking for the airport

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc319/Aharonthenicepilot/Old%20Hong%20Kong/vh28.jpg
I could see the Hong Kong skyline on left meaning the old airport should be on left. Let's see
