Dream come true! - N528AP

Every since I handled this plane working for Island Air, I have always wanted to paint it on a G550.wub Up until now the problem has been finding a decent Gulfstream to paint it on, there is once currently in development but I can't wait that long, I found a semi-decent G-IV and launched into it.

This was one of the most difficult paints I have ever done because the texture mapping is unbelievably poor. For example there is only one wing mapped which covers all 4 sides (top and bottom on each), for this paint it is a bummer, the bottom of the wings are supposed to be black, the top white but I had to do it all black! .mat

Anyway here are six shots of her flying from her base in KPVU - Provo, UT to MWCR - Grand Cayman.captain1

Guy that looks amazing! I have always wanted to find a great G550 model for Flight Sim (maybe one day some professional company will get the balls up and make an amazing one!) and these colours are the best! I have her normally as my Camera's main image as she is a real beauty!

Although my eagle eyes must say that this looks like a G5 just...... lol!

Thanks Albert! It is in fact a G-IV (G450). The engines are wrong, the tail is the old GIII tail and it has no nose cam.

The reason why there are no good Gulfstreams for FS is that as soon as one starts development, Grumman send a 'Cease and Desist' letter to the developer, just protecting their exclisivity I guess. As Jon pointed out there is a really good -550 on it's way for FS but it is taking ages, not sure if it will be freeware or payware. Must keep quiet though so evil Grumman don't find it.:lol:

And i think you mean General Dynamics, no? Grumman havent been around for a while now. They still made 2 great vehicles in my opinion,

Disregard! It seems that Grumman actually did do the G1 and G2! It was then made into Gulfsteam Aerospace and then bought up by General Dynamics which then created the G3,4,5!

Sorry! Yes, I meant General Dynamics, new name for Grumman! Just watched Top Gun you see, F-14 overload!:lol: Gulfstream Aeropace is a subsection of General Dynamics and that is where the nasty letters come from!
