yikes That must have frightened a few people! It's not surprising though, most likely aftershocks from Haiti's shakeabout. I remember feeling a few tremors in Cayman after the Tsunami quake, those sorts of things ripple all across the world! It is a very strange feeling. o.O Glad you are all OK! 5.8 is next to nothing compared to Haiti's.

Ooops pinch...at first glance it looks like the US are staking a claim to Cayman, mega doh.
Just seen a photo of a large sink-hole that has opened up in Patrick's Island, about 10ft across, maybe 6ft deep. Free swimming pool!

Correction: Wasn't in Patrick's Island. Was in South Sound at the condo's of Pirate Lair across from the Rugby Pitch.
I was on the second floor in my school in an I.T class. I heard this loud ''Roar!'' but I thought it was a dump Truck, because they are building an addition on to my school. (Cayman Prep & High School)
Thank Lord for No Injuries. .cheers

Was up a 5 story building at the time and we shook real good!
Was evacuated and soon after we were back in at work (cause we were needed to man the desk!) after 5 mins.
The Airport was closed for all of 30 mins while they checked out the buildings and everything was alright.
Kind of a interesting feeling tho! My legs are still like Jelly!
Guess thats my Earthquake virginity gone now also! So Young!
