A brand new game from the makers of "Head-On!"

Okay so it's not quite that interesting however. The game is as such, one person will post a screenshot within FS of a location, with no hints initially. Then people will guess the location. First person to guess it correctly and have their guess confirmed by the original image poster, will get to post the next image.


Rules:

- Location must be a Cayman Virtual destination.

- Shot must have a visible airport.

- Does not have to be a Cayman Virtual airplane.

- If 3 or more people ask for a hint, it must be given by the image poster.

- If no guess has been made after 48 hours, anybody can post an image.

- Respect eachother. Once somebody has posted an image, you cannot post until you have guessed it correctly. Only those who guess the image are allowed to post the next one.

- Your guess must be either the airport name or ICAO code. Continents, Country's etc. will not be accepted!

- Keep it fun! Take some interesting angles, edit the shots a bit, try to make it a little difficult. We have plenty of destinations! Change up the weather, snow, rain, sunny day, pick what you like. thumbup

The airport is Gran Canaria International airport - GCLP (Locally known as "Gando") is located in the middle of the east coast of Gran Canaria, about 20 minutes up the motorway to the city of Las Palmas. Gran Canaria (originally named Tamarán) forms part of the Canary Islands. The southern point of Gran Canaria is just 210 km from the coast of Africa, the western Sahara to be more precise and in the Atlantic Ocean. The island itself is located 1,250 km away from mainland Spain.

Guy, Tileproxy is the application I used in that shot. It basically covers the earth in photoreal textures from Google Earth. Pretty Neat.

The wonderful KFLL airport scenery which comes in everything including jetways with logos bearing names of airlines and gorgeous seaport full of ships is available FREEWARE in avsim. Just check for it showing year 2008.

I completed a cool flight from Alaska to KFLL abroad L1011 that I will write screenshot report some time this month on non Cayman Airways screenshot forum.

If you are computer savvy (I know you are), you can modify that freeware to remove one logo of any airline from jetway and replace the logo of your VA on jetway. That would be kick *** cool.

Actually, Jon, from the information given to me in the tutorial, it only streams from MSN Virtual Earth, Yahoo Maps, and Ask.com Maps. If it was Google Earth, it will be more high resolution and more updated photos.

At your request, I posted a screenshot of gorgeous view of city of Chicago which is one of virtual destinations of this VA and it got removed for unknown reason.

So here is another post of guess what this is as seen below. ONE PROBLEM I took pic of this official virtual destination of this VA and FORGOT the name of this place. So I am afraid it would be up to all of you to guess.

The only thing I can remember is that it is IN AMERICA.

It has to be Cayman Airways virtual location or otherwise I would not have bothered to take screenshot and save the file "Guess".

I am trying to recall my memory based on another clue: water body and rivers leading to that water body.

The other clue is that I took that screenshot during one of my Cayman Airways VASF3 flights.

Anybody can figure out? I give this screenshot 48 more hours before I post another screenshot.

No KBOS is in FRONT OF WATER, not inland.

All I can recall is that it is SOMEWHERE in middle of America.

If I cannot recall or somebody cannot figure out in 24 hours, I will post another screenshot of the different scenery that I know where it is as long as Jon does not mind the plane with different airline name or otherwise I have to airbrush the plane to erase the plane off while leaving scenery alone.

There may be difference between freeware and payware Maderia sceneries. Jon always uses payware sceneries.

The main reason I guess Maderia is based on the screenshot showing red and white warning markings on the ground in background meaning it is cliff behind.

Anyway, no matter if I am wrong or right, I win on technicality because regulations require use of Cayman livery in any plane and this screenshot showing GA plane with without any livery is in violation of guessing contest's regulations.

Aharon i do think you need to re check your markings and what they mean.
Those Red and White markings are actually to indicate an area where aircraft movement is prohibited or the airfield boundary.

Also just looking at the photo cant you see the background scenery?? It looks very flat to me!

And with your remarks about you winning well then i havent read the rules recently but do you really want to mess with Jon the CEO? Hours may be removed from VAFS!
