Well it’s been over a month since we re-launched our Eurocay airlines and we are now moving on up to the next step!

Alpine Runs are events that will take place for Eurocay airlines on SATURDAYS.

Event times will be split into 2. The First slot is the main slot and will take place between 1800z-2100z (2pm-5pm EST) and the next slot will take place at 0000z-0300z (8pm-11pm EST). This is to allow for people who operate on the West side of the Pond (Atlantic Ocean) can still get a chance to compete in the events. However for those that want the finest ATC that Europe has to offer, the 1800z-2100z, should hopefully allow you to experience what flying in Europe with ATC is like!

To kick things off with a bang, for the entire month of August, Eurocay is hosting a competition to all our pilots here at Flycay!

The winner will receive a copy of:
FS Dreamteam Geneva! (FSX or FS9)

If we have a lot of competitors, there is also a chance for second place to receive a copy of:
Aerosoft’s Ibiza! (FSX or FS9)

If the winner of the prizes has already one of these products, then another prize of similar value (European scenery) will be awarded to the winner.

RULES!

- You must fly a Eurocay aircraft! I am going to allow the B767-300 to be used; however there will be a small penalty for using it as it’s really suppose to be on our long haul flights and not our short European routes.

- VAFS must be running! We won’t take any results unless VAFS has logged the flight. Sorry but that’s the only way to properly confirm the route was flown.

Points will be awarded as follows:

7 points for completing the event route on VATSIM
5 points for completing the event offline.
2 points for the smoothest landing
1 point for the second smoothest landing.
-3 points for using the B767-300.

As there are 5 Saturdays in the month of August, there will be 5 events for you to rack up the points! At the end of every Saturday, a leader board will be displayed to show who is on the top, and who needs to pick up the slack for a chance to get in to win the grand prize! Our First event will be held on the 7th of August and more details on that will follow shortly! So get your yokes ready for the fun and good luck to everyone! Remember, anyone has a chance to win!

Good Luck to everyone!

Regional Director | EuroCay Airlines

This sounds like a lot of fun, great idea! Hopefully I can make one or two of them.

Great idea and exciting events utilizing airports in Europe!!

One suggestion: you need to instill minus one point for flights departed before or after the time frame of the event because the main objective is to encourage people to participate in events and you do not want them not to be able to fly in events because of time frame that cannot meet their real life schedules.

I am sure pilots are willing to take minus one point to enjoy participating in the events before or after the time frame of events.

If you participate outside of the event slots, then your flight wont be counted.

There is plenty of time for people to at least depart in those time slots.

William,

In case you do not notice, all Vatsim events and all VA events always start at 23:00z and end at 03:00z because they understand people's real life schedules.

Thats not for this event. There is plenty of time in these 2 slots. Nuff said.

That sounds excellent, great work! I will be gone pretty much all August, but I hope to make it this Saturday.
