Good Day All,
I'm sure all of you have noticed the pilot CAY1038- Michael on the Team Speak ,and on the Last Months Inspirational pilots list. Well Michael helped me with something the other day and I found this quite impressive of him. I was planning a flight in the 767-300ER and I've only reviewed the manual once, it was also going to be my first flight in the aircraft and first across the Atlantic. I found Michael sitting on the Team Speak that morning and requested his help. Micheal carefully gave my step by step instructions on what to do in the Flight Deck.
Michael was present the whole flight, making sure I was getting the things down to a point. The day before this he told me to check the manual so I can learn the systems, I don't like to read manuals often as I learn from watching others and getting hands- on experience. The thing that impressed me the most was Michael only flew this aircraft once and was able to bring me 7 hours across the Atlantic Safely.
Michael has an attitude towards aviation that I would love to have too, he's a very educated man when it comes to his aircraft, and if he wants to learn another aircraft, Nothing stops him! From hand writing the manuals and checklist, to flying back and fourth to make sure he understands the aircraft completely, Michael has an attitude that can inspire others to get to know their aircraft as well.
Michael,
You are now amongst the few who inspire me, the way you look at your flying is serious, I would like to strive for knowledge in aviation as much as you do, and continue to learn as much as I can In virtual and real world aviation as well. .cheers
Thank You,
Andrew M.
