Hi guys,
I was just wondering if there was any update on the idea of doing a "season tool"?
Mainly for the grass textures to be really light green,, like on your promo shot on the main page! :)
also has the AES files been sent to Aerosoft?

Hi Alex,
I am afraid, we are not going to add a season tool. That is too much trouble for developers, its a complex system that will take too much work for almost same result, lightening the textures of grass is something not worthy of going to all the trouble... in a place like Tobago where all year is mostly summer, is not necessary. If it were England, France or Northern US yes. but is not necessary for this kind of area.
on the second, yes its been sent to AES, but we don't know when would it be added.
I am sure there isn't any other addon for the Caribbean region with "season tool" nor Fly tampa's TNCM nor Grenadines.

yes, but there is a grass which is controlked by a GMAX polygon that I created. That I think won't help his intended results since in order to make seasons for that a lot of tweaking is needed in my end.

You have every reason Ricardo!
Although it is a tropical region and there is really a small change in the vegetation response to climate in real life, in the FSX virtual world that does not occur in that region.
I created a landclass for all island of Tobago with seasonal tropical vegetation but did not observe a change of vegetation in the simulation flight.
I believe that this caribean region is set to summer to all seasons by default.
Deeper modifications would be needed in FSX or a photoreal for the whole island, both work very lengthy and complicated.
:-(

it's impossible in that area... as you said FS considers that area summer all year, if not will see variations which wont look good...

I like the grass that's there. It's good tropical rainy season color. It gets darker with the rainy season. Trust me.
