I am very proud of you, Tayvis. Congratulations on making your first double-digit landing. ;)

However, you do need some more help with your graphics, my friend.

Nicely done Tayvis. Now we don't need to be worrying about his graphics, it's supposed to be what he's learning from the simulator. Also, some of the thanks should go the Michael, he taught me, and since then I can't stop flying them!

Might depend on what flight sim and what version you want. For me, I like the Aerosoft twin otter for flight simulator X. For flight simulator 2004, I uses the Project Globe twin otter or the PAD twin otter. Although, the AeroSim twin otter is quite nice to use with FS9.

Thanks Garth I get kinda confuse with aerosoft and aerosim twin otters and I like the freeware version its not actually a bad plane but the payware version is very realistic but wen I get my computer up I'll check it out, question: does anyone have another power cord no using for compaq cause mines have stop for some reason

Hey Tayvis... I crashed a few days ago because AP was not turned off and when I went to flare nothing happened. By the time I realized what was wrong it was too late and came down about -750... but it didn't affect my ranking?? anyway, you may know this but if you set your weather to Gray and Rainy it will increase your ranking by .5 for each takeoff and landing in bad weather.

Lol that was me back then with the twin otters i managed to get -8000 but now im getting -90 just now in the event, and yes to rainy weather helps your pilot rating for the flight as it adds on .5 to your rating . I recommend to AEROSOFT Twin Otter full Autopilot excellent good lil plane. .cheers

Dont Give up with the twinotter,

Tayvis

Nice shots Tayvis and great work on mastering the DHC-6. The best advice I can offer on how to fly it is: buy an Express ticket to Little Cayman, when they start boarding run to the plane and get seat 1A and watch how the pro's do it! You can't fly it like any old prop plane. You have to understand the prop feathering and flap routines. For example:

Takeoff: Flaps 10, prop levers fully forward (max RPM)

Climb: Retract flaps and gradually bring the RPM back to ~86

Descent: Slow to ~110KTS, Flaps 10

Landing: Flaps 20 and Max RPM again and take a steeper angle than usual.

LOL LMAO Guy I always get seat 1A great seating choice thanks for the tips!
I always admire the Cayman Airways pilots who fly the twin otter .cheers

Tayvis.
