Saw this on OGNR: "OGNR understands that Cayman Airways and Jet Blue flights are on indefinite hold "due to industrial action in #Jamaica". Reports are that the help desk at the Norman Manley Int'l Airport is expecting a fax from the CAA stating that industrial action is likely to continue till 3pm today. If you have further details post."
Is this correct????

Not correct, from what I understand as of around 14:45z this morning MKJK was back operational with limitations, permitting air traffic into and out of their FIR. Before that time however there were periods in which no traffic was permitted into the MKJK FIR or out of, or over, (into and out of Jamaica), flights into and out of Grand Cayman (Cayman Airways flights) were not affected, UNLESS the destination was Jamaica, then delays were present.

actual time of Kingston CTR reopening was 15:45z.
Kingstons airspace was suppose to re-open at 12:00z, but there were no staff available for this to happen. It took them till 15:45z to properly get the required staff in to open the full airspace.
Certain aircraft were allowed to depart Kingston before this as they were already boarded and ready to go. But no aircraft was allowed to enter the airspace until 15:45z.
Because of this, Cayman Airway's flights this morning to Jamaica were cancelled and have been rescheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) providing this doesn't happen again.
As Jon has stated, flights into and out of Cayman not from Jamaica were not affected.
