Was just wondering if we have ever looked at using the MD80 in Cayman fleet ? Its great for short to medium flights also there is fantastic payware products out there like Madog MD80 the Super 80 Pro or the up to date CLS MD80 PRO i personally love flying this aircraft because the cls model is VERY detailed and well made and NO frame issues with FSX. Its great fun to fly also ... Just a thought anyone flown them before ?

Scott,

If you do not mind freeware MD-80 series by SGA, there is one with Cayman Airways livery on www.flightsim.com

That's my MD-90 paint, not the -80.

The MD-80 is getting a bit inefficient to be used economically. You can see airlines all over the US and the world dumping their fleets over more efficient 737 NG's and Airbuses.

Or the 717? I'd like to get MD-80's or 717's. But yeah, they were made during the times when gas wasn't $4/Gal. It's a tough decision. But I'd choose the 717 over the MD-80. Just my two cents. (717 made by Perfect Flight). But, since the Perfect Flight one is $#!% then the MD-80. I'd like to see a Cayman Brac Airways Livery on that bird!
