Shalom and greetings all my pals,
Here is moment all of you have been waiting for after viewing exciting preview!! Here is eighth part of continuing education of Caribbean aviation history!!!!! The topic for eighth part is mighty L1101 flown by BWIA nicknamed BEEEE-WEEEE. All airlines in Caribbean islands had been flexing muscles to assert dominance in commercial aviation in Caribbean. Air Jamaica countered and challenged BWIA by using DC-8s, A300s, A310s, 747s (yes Air Jamaica flew 747s), and A340s to battle BWIA for dominance. Even Cayman Airways got into action of widebody plane muscle flexing by using long haul DC-8s with Cayman Airway livery for some flights.
Here is exciting and grandest adventure flight of BEE-WEE better known as BWIA from TBPB Grantley Adams International Airport located in an area officially known as Seawell 8 miles from the centre of the capital city Bridgetown to TJSJ Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport located in Carolina, three miles of San Juan, Puerto Rico using mighty Lockheed L1011 that involves gorgeous crossing of Martinique and Guadeloupe!!!
