New VAFS 5

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Has anyone been experiencing problems with new VAFS version 5?? Is anybody satisfied or dissatisfied with new version 5 of VAFS5?? I just noticed that opening or starting version 4 of VAFS was blazing fast but opening or starting new version 5 is very very slow. Maybe it is one time or temporary glitch????

Every time I open and start new version 5, it always makes announcement "There is problem initializing ENG (US)".

I also notice on the option section of Cayman Airways virtual in new version 5 that we pilots are not allowed to fly any plane. I believe that Jon has a generous policy allowing any plane as long as it is in Cayman Airways livery whether it is double decker A380 or floating boat plane.

I am anxious because there are two VATCAR events coming real soon and I am worried that new version 5 will screw up my participation in the coming VATCAR events that are held next week and also in 2 weeks.

I have had that same error come up on my VAFS5 .

My advice is to sign up on there forums on the website and post the problem you are having on there, and maybe Mike can help you with
the problem you are having.

It has some bugs, especially on the VCAS side (as far as Admissions goes). But then again, all programs have bugs when they are first released. I'm expecting an update to the program

Finished using VASF5 for first time tonight to participate in VATCAR's super exciting mind blowing MYNN event!

So far no problem! I solved by myself the problem of the error message: "There is problem initializing ENG (US)".

I am amused to see VASF5 announcing that my passengers were satisfied with soft landing and awarded me some bonus points. I am baffled. I had -288 fpm landing and I thought William the famous man with 5,000 aviation books said that anything at -200 fpm or less is great landing. Anything above -200 fpm is not good landing.

The only annoying aspect of VASF5 is that I have to spend time loading cargo. Also I notice that VAFS5 records flight time from take off to landing instead of from starting engines to shutting down engines.

Oh well at least VAFS5 is working fine.
