Well, that's failed. It's been $500 for the processor and motherboard alone!

So, here's the progress:

Late 2010: Cooler Master ATX Mid Tower
Early 2011: Western Digital 500GB HD
Early 2011: Corsair 750W HX PSU
Summer 2011: Asus P67 Sabertooth
Summer 2011: Asus OD
September 18, 2011: Intel i7 2600k
October 27, 2011: Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
TBD: GPU
TBD: Additional Fans, Hard Drives, etc.
