Exclamation How to use VAFS [Tutorial]

Somebody had to do it, let me know if I don't explain everything that you need to know.

Firstly
Download VAFS, you can grab this from the VAFS from our main page, click the VAFS page, as shown below:

Once you have clicked that link, download this file:

Virtual Airline Financial Systems Pilot Client (VAFS) - Current Version 3033
VAFS Beta Full Install: [ DOWNLOAD ]

Once you have downloaded, and installed that program (VAFS) run it, before you run Flight Sim, this order here doesn't matter, but I advise you to run VAFS before FS.

Secondly

Log in to VAFS, you should have received an email that allows you to create a username and password for yourself, if you didn't then you can send me an email (jonceo@flycay.com) and I will re-send this email to you. Log in to VAFS with your information, you should see a screen with your personal account details, your routes flown, total hours, total miles and cash etc.

Looks like this:

Thirdly

Ensure that you Flight Sim is checked (FS2004 or FSX) from the left hand side.
Next click "Track New Flight"
Now, something that we have done is that pilots must fly from their last destination. This means that if you fly from MWCR-KMIA, you next flight must be out of KMIA. This is enforced by VAFS, in, that if you go to "Track New Flight" it will only give you the flights available out of your current airport. Once you have earned enough money you can afford to "Jumpseat" from one airport to another.

Example:

Jonathan flies from Grand Cayman to Bermuda. However, he realises that he left his sun glasses back in Grand Cayman. Instead of flying all the way back to Grand Cayman (3 hours and a bit) , Jonathan has the option of "jump seating" to Grand Cayman. This means he will instantly be back in Grand Cayman, however, he will not earn any hours for the return home, and a deduction will be taken off of Jonathan's salary for the cost of the ticket home.

End of example.

Fourthly

Once you have clicked "track new flight" you will see this screen:

(The flights available to you will vary, depending on your current location. I was in Bermuda when that shot was taken, and since Bermuda is our second hub, you are offered a majority of flights out of their, as apposed to somewhere like London, where the only flight available to you is the return to Bermuda.

Select the flight you wish to fly, before you click "Fly Flight Number CAY***"

Open FS, go to your location, make sure your fuel is set for the flight, you have your route in FS planned, your aircraft has the parking brake on, and the pause button is off.

Fifthly

Minimize Flight Sim, click " Fly Flight Number CAY***"

the VAFS will change to a progress screen, your flight will appear on our main page under the "Flight Map" tab, where others can monitor your progress, as well as their own.

Lastly

When your flight is complete, and you are at the gate, engines shut down, engage your parking brake, minimize FS, look at VAFS and it should say something a long the lines of "End Flight" click yes to the message, it will also ask if you want to close the flight (or something a long those lines.) click yes, or close, and you will be back to the main opening page of VAFS. Now, you will need to click "Upload Flight" from the left hand side of the VAFS screen, and your flight will be uploaded, and update our pilot roster with your latest details.

End. Hope this is of help, as I am now completely knackered.

Cay600

Firstly, delete your FSUIPC files in your FS9/X modules folder.

Secondly, download FSUIPC from here:

Click this link for FSUIPC for FSX:

http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowso...mestamp=140208

Click this link for FSUIPC for FS2004:

http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowso...mestamp=010607

Once that has downloaded simply follow the instructions. Any more issues, let us know here. Hope this helps

Sora,

You do not have to do anything to choose aircraft. Just pick any flight and VASF4 would automatically use any aircraft you are using.

But I got to warn you that if you choose a 733 flight, the VASF4 would fill 100 out of MD-11's 300 seats or if you choose 757-200F cargo flight, then VASF4 would fill 49,000 lbs out of MD-11F's 200,00 lb cargo hold.

But I am sure you would not mind.

Aharon
